Sarah joined Ibis as a Project Manager in early 2016. She is currently working on research projects related to reproductive health access, including a quantitative study on the determinants of contraception and abortion utilization for urban youth in Ghana and a qualitative study on abortion experiences for women in the US military. Prior to Ibis, Sarah worked at the University of Washington in Seattle as a Research Coordinator for PRONTO, a global obstetric emergency and neonatal resuscitation training program. While there, she managed the close-out of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Work Order, and published three papers with findings from trials evaluating PRONTO in both Guatemala and Mexico. She earned her MPH in Epidemiology at the University of Washington where she was part of the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Training Program and a Research Assistant on a PEPFAR HIV/AIDS policy monitoring project. She also holds a BA from Cornell University where she majored in Biology and Society and minored in Global Health and Africana Studies.
