Leah has worked with Ibis since 2020, starting as a consultant and joining the staff in 2022. Prior to Ibis, Leah worked as a freelance writer, editor, and translator; served as senior editor for an international journal of literature and art; and managed education programming for a literary arts nonprofit. As Senior Research Coordinator, Leah works on projects that explore how accompaniment networks in Latin America shift social norms around abortion by expanding and promoting safe, high-quality, person-centered care. She is a Colorado Doula Project-trained and certified abortion doula and holds a BA in English & Literary Arts and Spanish Language & Literature from the University of Denver.
