Kellie Doucette began her career in the health policy field and went on to work for many years as an actuary in the individual disability and long-term care reinsurance markets in the United States and Bermuda. She shifted her focus to the political world in 2016, initially as a campaign manager for a local campaign in northern New Jersey. In 2018 she joined the senior staff of her first congressional campaign, serving as the Constituency Director for Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) in 2018, and helped flip a seat from Republican to Democrat with the largest margin in the country.
Kellie most recently served as District Director in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District for 6 years, overseeing the operations of the District Office, coordinating with the legislative team in DC, and managing constituent and political outreach. In this role, she worked with local officials on a bipartisan basis to identify and address a wide variety of issues such as flooding, water infrastructure, superfund remediation, public safety, housing affordability, mental health, reproductive health, economic development, veterans health care, and support for the local military installation. Her responsibilities also included strategic planning and oversight of the budget processes for the team.
Kellie received her AB in Economics from Harvard in 1992 and completed her Associateship of the Society of Actuaries in 1999. Kellie is also a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Andrew’s School in Delaware, of which she is a proud alumna, serving as Vice-Chair, Chair of the Advancement Committee and a member of the Finance Committee.
