Ibis is proud to announce the relaunched Mmoho website and campaign! Mmoho is a nationwide advocacy campaign in South Africa that seeks to reduce the occurrence of unplanned teenage pregnancies. By using a positive, rights-based approach, Mmoho aims to change the conversation about teenage pregnancy as well advocating for comprehensive and accessible sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) services for young women and men. The new Mmoho website and social media profiles provide information on SRHR, stories from teens in their own voices, and updates and events from the campaign.
The campaign kicked off with a media workshop introducing the Mmoho campaign, including presentations from government officials and teens speaking about how the media can play a positive role in reporting on teen pregnancy and adolescent sexuality.
To learn more or to join the conversation, visit the Mmoho website or follow the campaign on Facebook and Twitter.
