Sarah manages a portfolio of work addressing access to safe abortion and reproductive health care. As an expert in qualitative methods, Sarah prioritizes developing research questions in partnership with clinic and advocacy partners to gain a deeper understanding of the preferences, priorities, and experiences of people seeking and obtaining abortion and contraception. Sarah has published and presented on work assessing abortion-related stigma and quality care among providers and women, evaluating use of medication abortion in legally restrictive contexts through a range of care models, and documenting the impact of restrictive abortion and family planning laws. Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Reproductive and Family Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School.
