June 10, 2011 — Although she will be missed, Ibis is pleased to announce Dr. Angel Foster’s new position at the University of Ottawa, where she will be continuing her work on reproductive health in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as expanding her research to include work on reproductive health policy in Canada.
Ibis would like to take this opportunity to celebrate Dr. Foster’s extraordinary contributions. Throughout her eight years at Ibis, Dr. Foster has been a key team member for a wide range of projects, including the Ellertson Fellowship, and research on health care reform and health professionals training; Angel also lead a cutting edge program of work on reproductive health in the Middle East and North Africa which she will further develop in her new position. Dr. Foster has a unique combination of social science and medical training, language skills and experience working in the MENA region and it has been a pleasure to work with her. We wish her all the best in her new position and look forward to finding new ways to collaborate
