Milani (she/her) is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Medicine, Health, & Society, that includes a concentration in Reproductive and Sexual Health Justice. At Vanderbilt, Milani worked as a Research Assistant in the Anthropological Health & Data Science Lab focusing on the impact of social support on adverse maternal health outcomes. She was also a Patient Advocacy and Storytelling Intern with Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi and a Global Youth Ambassador with Planned Parenthood Global. As Milani joins Ibis, she is excited to support The MORE Study and the Later Abortion Initiative. Her passions include centering joy and pleasure in movement work as well as using research in partnership with effective community-based solutions to identify and alleviate the impacts of health disparities. In her free time, you will find Milani reading, painting, baking, listening to music, making collages and doing henna.
