Research Manager

We seek an individual with a commitment to sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice with a strong background in collaborating with a range of interest-holders, managing research implementation, and strong writing skills. The Research Manager will work on a randomized clinical trial comparing two medication abortion regimens in the US, and potentially globally. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: implementation of quantitative data quality assurance, cleaning, and analysis plans; management and oversight of key research task implementation; management and growth of partnerships with study site clinics, telehealth providers, and advocacy organizations; management of quantitative and qualitative study protocols, data collection, and data analysis; development of evidence-based, actionable materials for dissemination to a variety of audiences; and supporting development of grant proposals and administrative tasks, among other responsibilities. Our preference is for this position to be physically based out of either the Oakland or Cambridge office, with the expectation of at least two days of in-office time per week. A remote work location in the United States may be considered. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by January 4.

Research Coordinator

We seek an individual with a commitment to sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice who is keen to support rigorous research across our organization. The Research Coordinator will work on a randomized clinical trial comparing two medication abortion regimens, as well as a research project focused on supporting the needs and experiences of abortion seekers now and in the future. Tasks include, but are not limited to, data collection, entry, and management; implementation of data validation and quality assurance systems; support for complex survey response tracking and participant remuneration; data coding; implementation of data analysis and results creation tasks; protocol development; study team and meeting coordination; and overall project support. Additional administrative tasks may include assisting with scheduling, the management of technology systems, and logistical support for meetings. Our preference is for this position to be physically based out of either the Oakland or Cambridge office, with the expectation of at least two days of in-office time per week. A remote work location in the United States may be considered. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by January 5.

Internships at Ibis

We hire interns to work with us in our US and RSA offices during two terms each year: Winter and Summer, with each internship lasting approximately 10 weeks. Generally, we post internship applications in February/March and October to recruit for the upcoming term. A modest stipend is available, though the exact amount is dependent on funding availability. We also welcome applications from students receiving work study or practicum/school credit.
