Sruthi is a Senior Project Manager with Ibis. She manages projects focusing on increasing access to safe abortion in restrictive settings in the United States and internationally. Her past work encompasses a range of roles including field-based qualitative and quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation, policy and advocacy, and partnership management. Prior to joining Ibis, Sruthi was a Research Specialist at the Department for International Development (DFID), New Delhi, managing a range of research projects across South Asia on issues including abortion incidence and intimate partner violence. She was a Research Associate at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, New Delhi, working on contraception, safe abortion, and comprehensive sexuality education. Sruthi served as a Global Health Corps Fellow at Marie Stopes International, Washington DC, where she researched on the impact of US Government policy on access to safe abortion. As a Research Associate at the Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL New Delhi), she led a multi-state randomized controlled trial in India aimed at improving compliance to TB treatment. Sruthi is a Women Deliver Young Leader and has a Masters in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) and a Master of Science in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
