Ana Maria Ramirez, MPH
Ana manages both quantitative and qualitative research projects in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa. Her current work focuses on expanding access to safe abortion and reproductive health care services in legally restrictive settings. Projects include understanding the role of abortion stigma amongst providers and women, and development of mHealth interventions to increase access to abortion information. Prior to joining Ibis, Ana worked on a variety of projects both globally and domestically in the areas of menstrual hygiene management and puberty, HIV and AIDS, and sex worker rights. Ana holds a Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences with a certificate in Global Health from Columbia University's Mailman School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Latin American Studies from Emory University.
