Beth Fredrick is helping to lead the Advance Family Planning initiative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In nine countries, regionally and globally, Advance Family Planning works with government and civil society leaders to increase funding and foster a supportive policy environment for family planning. Ms. Fredrick worked previously with the International Women’s Health Coalition as their Executive Vice President and with the Guttmacher Institute, as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She was a Bell Fellow with the Harvard University Center for Population and Development Studies and was adjunct faculty in the Global Health Capstone program for New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School for Public Service. She serves as Board Treasurer for EMpower, a not-for-profit organization that connects the resources of Emerging Markets (EM) professionals worldwide with local organizations in emerging market countries.
